Associate Director - Project Planning Lead (Industrial Manufacturing)

Job Objectives

As an experienced Project Controls Professional in manufacturing, construction, or engineering, you will establish processes, templates, and tools, set the baseline for cost and schedule, monitor performance, and incorporate risks, opportunities, and changes. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying trends and root causes of deviations, recommending remedial actions to maximize value for the client.
  2. Leading evaluation of project’s time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls for successful delivery.
  3. Collaborating with remote cost management teams to establish a market-tested cost baseline and ensure value for money.
  4. Guiding and influencing general contractors to progress in line with schedules and cash flow parameters.
  5. Serving as the key client contact to resolve delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality.
  6. Controlling costs using conceptual estimating, funding stage gates, contingency principles, and procurement principals.
  7. Creating and managing cost reports and dashboards for executive review.
  8. Understanding and leading change management processes, including tracking and approval workflows.
  9. Leading planning sessions and workshops to develop master schedules, baselines, and critical paths.
  10. Managing procurement schedules, vendor lead times, and prioritization of materials.
  11. Working closely with clients to define vendor schedule requirements.
  12. Participating in risk evaluations, incorporating risks into Monte Carlo simulations for impact analysis.
  13. Monitoring project changes, communicating updates, and facilitating approval processes.
  14. Ensuring vendors provide timely schedule updates and adhere to quality standards.

Qualifications include proven experience in project controls across project phases, analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office and Primavera P6, and strong time management and independence. We value commitment to excellent service, reliability, and motivation.
