Job summary

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to unlock potential in every person or project. We are seeking motivated individuals to steer our planning function during an exciting growth period in UK nuclear infrastructure.

You will own the integrated programme, manage critical paths, and coordinate with senior stakeholders while guiding the team to deliver value and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Membership of a recognised professional body or equivalent development.
  • Extensive experience planning projects and programmes in nuclear.

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of the planning process including integrated programmes and critical paths.
  • Ensure cost loading of programmes and progress capture at the right level.
  • Analyse contractor programmes and feedback run rates, risks and mitigations.
  • Lead contractual management for programme-related events.
  • Direct key assignments and strengthen planning performance and monitoring.
  • Support strategic development, due diligence and sustainable growth.
  • Foster collaboration and build strong internal/external stakeholder relationships.

You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Owning all aspects of the planning process including the integrated programme, critical paths, client programmes and the analysis and acceptance of contractor programmes.
  • Ensuring cost loading of programmes to the appropriate level of cost and progress capture.
  • Analysing contractor programmes and provide feedback to project management including run rates, schedule risks and mitigation measures/opportunities.
  • Ability to lead all aspects of contractual management for programme related events.
  • Directing key assignments, strengthen planning performance, and ensure effective project scheduling and monitoring.
  • Supporting strategic development, due diligence, and sustainable business growth.
  • Fostering collaboration, share best practice, and build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes in the nuclear sector.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
