NHS 24 is looking for an Associate Director of Operations and Nursing to provide clinical and operational leadership. The role involves managing service delivery KPIs and collaborating with various stakeholders in a hybrid working environment. Ideal candidates will be registered nurses with extensive management experience in the NHS.
We are seeking a passionate and highly experienced candidate to provide professional clinical and operational leadership in our Digital Healthcare setting, delivering care to the public.
As our Associate Director of Operations and Nursing, you will be directly responsible and accountable for clinical and operational service delivery KPIs, while offering expertise and advice to the NHS 24 Board and the Executive Team.
In this senior management role, you will collaborate with Partner Health Boards and other key stakeholders and sponsors.
NHS 24 is a vital part of Scotland’s health and social care system, providing urgent care response 24/7, 365 days a year. We offer clinical assessment, referral, health advice, and information via telephone and digital channels, supporting the NHS system and developing digitally enabled services.
We employ around 2,000 staff across five main contact centres and remote locations, including multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and support staff.
The role is based within any NHS 24 regional centre (Aberdeen, Dundee, South Queensferry, Cardonald, Clydebank). The post supports hybrid working; candidates should be within commuting distance to a regional centre and willing to travel across Scotland as needed.
