Job summary

Mourant in Jersey is seeking an Associate Director for our Fund Accounting team, with strong background in accounting systems like PCS and Yardi, and a keen interest in data analysis.

You will manage day-to-day activities, collaborate across locations, and guide junior staff while driving innovation in financial reporting.

Candidates should have ACCA/ACA or equivalent, entitlement/registration in Jersey/UK, and knowledge of US and Luxembourg GAAP would be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent with up-to-date UK GAAP and IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with accounting systems like PCS and Yardi.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage day-to-day activities of team members reporting to you, ensuring work is planned and allocated to meet client requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with colleagues across accounting locations, providing explanations, advice and accounting support as required.
• Act as a role model to junior colleagues to help build, develop and motivate a high-performing accounting team.
• Drive innovation in the delivery of financial reporting services using your experience and tools available within the business.
• Guide the team through complex transactions and consult with fund directors as required.
• Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure client expectations and deadlines are properly managed.
• Collaborate with client administration and other colleagues to resolve accounting queries, providing explanations and accounting support as required.

• Candidates must have entitled or registered status in Jersey, Channel Islands, UK
• Qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent, with good up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including their practical application
• Knowledge of US GAAP and Luxembourg GAAP would be an advantage
• Previous experience of accounting systems, particularly PCS and Yardi, would be an advantage
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
