Job Description:

Pearse Partners has partnered with a UK mid-market corporate finance house looking to expand their Financial Services M&A team with an Associate Director from an IB or Big 4/Big 6 accountancy firm. The ideal candidate will have a financial services background but is also open to generalists aiming to specialise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Originate and execute M&A transactions across the financial services sector, including asset-light, wealth management, and payments.
  • Lead deal execution from start to finish, managing due diligence, valuation, financial modelling, preparing marketing materials, and negotiating transaction documents.
  • Build and manage client relationships.

Ideal background:

  • 7+ years of experience in a mid-market IB or Big 4/Big 6 accountancy firm.
  • Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
