Job summary

Mace in London is seeking a senior electrical design leader to guide complex projects from concept through delivery, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.

You will lead a team, shape design processes, coordinate with multidisciplinary partners, and drive continuous improvement while supporting bids and client expectations.

Hybrid working options are available to balance on-site collaboration with flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Typically 15+ years’ experience delivering electrical design on complex projects with knowledge of power, lighting, life safety and low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical leadership and advice on electrical design matters.
• Reviewing and assuring electrical design deliverables, standards and compliance.
• Managing the development and implementation of electrical design processes and best practices.
• Line management and development of MEP Design team members.
• Overseeing internal and external audits, certification and compliance activities.
• Directing design reviews, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identifying, managing and mitigating technical risks and design quality issues.
• Supporting internal and external audits, certification activities and compliance reviews.
• Delivering technical training, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Supporting multidisciplinary coordination and technical workshops.
• Supporting business development activities, bids and technical proposals.
• Monitoring the technical performance of design partners and supply chain members.
• Supporting commissioning, testing and handover activities.
• Contributing to net zero carbon objectives through efficient and sustainable electrical design solutions.
