If you're passionate about enhancing the environmental performance of marine development projects, this role offers the opportunity to work on offshore wind, interconnectors, subsea cables, ports, and coastal developments. You will collaborate with technical experts and work within our established Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team across the UK and Ireland.

We are flexible on office location, with options across the UK including Basingstoke, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London Aldgate, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, St Albans, and Warrington, embracing a hybrid working model.

Our projects include marine power generation, transmission, subsea cables, ports, and coastal developments. You will lead and contribute to high-profile marine projects, managing multidisciplinary environmental inputs throughout all project stages.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Expertise: Lead and coordinate environmental inputs, manage reports and assessments, and review specialist chapters throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure Quality: Maintain high standards and compliance with quality procedures.
  • Project Management: Manage resources and budgets effectively.
  • Collaborate: Work with teams to improve environmental outcomes, identify impacts, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Client Contact: Manage relationships with clients, internal teams, and subcontractors.
  • Growth: Promote AECOM’s environmental services, lead business development, and develop proposals.
Qualifications
  • A relevant environmental degree (preferably Master’s) and professional membership (Chartered Environmentalist preferred).
  • Experience in EIA consultancy, report preparation, and technical review.
  • Knowledge of UK marine consenting and licensing regimes.
  • Leadership skills for managing teams and client engagement.
  • Project management capabilities, including scheduling and budgeting.
  • Commitment to innovation and professional development.
  • Interest in mentorship and business development.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
