Job summary

Demos is Britain’s leading cross-party think tank focused on digital policy and democratic reform. This Associate Director role leads policy development on Resilient Information Ecosystems, building relationships with government, business, and civil society to propel impactful research and funding for the programme.

You will co-lead our Epistemic Security Network, manage a small team, and drive forward AI policy initiatives while overseeing qualitative and quantitative research, ensuring policy

Qualifications

• Track record influencing policy at high levels.
• Expertise in digital policy & information ecosystems.
• Strong networks across UK politics and government.
• Excellent leadership and people management.
• Experience managing multi-year policy projects.
• Experience drafting grant applications & fundraising.
• Ability to network across civil society, government & industry.
• Experience with qualitative & quantitative research methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development of information-ecosystems work and policy ideas.
• Oversee high-profile policy projects and guidance for teams.
• Deliver rigorous, policy-relevant research; engage stakeholders.
• Provide political insight to position Demos at policy decision points.
• Represent Demos as a senior spokesperson at events and forums.
• Co-lead Epistemic Security Network and manage junior team members.
