Job summary

Built Alliance Recruitment Ltd is working with a leading award-winning construction and development consultancy in Birmingham. The Associate Director will be second-in-command, developing the QS team and shaping how it runs, with responsibility across healthcare, education and commercial schemes.

You'll lead cost management, cost plans, and commercial strategy on a varied Midlands project book, collaborate with PMs from early RIBA stages, and manage stakeholders, design teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive consultancy and/or client-side QS experience.
• Proven delivery under JCT and NEC contracts.
• Comfortable acting as Employer’s Agent.
• Ability to lead client relationships at senior level.
• Degree-qualified and MRICS; healthcare/education or commercial experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management across healthcare, education and commercial developments in the Midlands.
• Shape cost plans and commercial strategy on a varied project book.
• Develop the QS team; mentor juniors.
• Collaborate with project managers from early RIBA stages.
• Lead design teams, contractors and stakeholders with a focus on cost, programme and risk.
