Associate Director - Dilapidations

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £80,000 package

An established building consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Director specialising in Dilapidations to join its Nottingham team. This is a senior role for a commercially minded Building Surveyor with a strong track record in commercial dilapidations, looking to take the next step in their career.

The Role

You will lead a range of dilapidations instructions for a high-profile client base, providing both technical and commercial advice.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and negotiating Schedules of Dilapidations.
• Advising landlords and tenants on lease-end liabilities.
• Undertaking building inspections and producing detailed reports.
• Managing dilapidations instructions from inception through to completion.
• Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Mentoring junior and intermediate surveyors.
• Supporting business development and identifying new opportunities.

The Client Base

You will work with a diverse portfolio of nationally recognised organisations, including clients such as puregym, vision express and higher education/universities, as well as wider commercial property portfolios.

About You

• Strong commercial dilapidations experience.
• Chartered Building Surveyor, ideally MRICS.
• Excellent technical and negotiation skills.
• Strong client management and communication abilities.
• Commercially aware with an interest in business development.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior surveyors.
