Position Overview

They seek to add a dynamic and experienced Associate Director to join their Glasgow studio. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading projects, managing client relationships, and driving the growth and success of their practice in Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned architect with strong leadership skills and a passion for sustainable design to make a significant impact within their organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage architectural projects from concept through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Provide strategic direction and contribute to the development and implementation of the practice's business plan.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive working environment.
  • Collaborate with other directors and senior management to drive business development and secure new project opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Represent the business at industry events and conferences, enhancing the firm's profile and reputation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Architecture and membership of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects across various sectors.
  • Strong design and technical skills, with a portfolio that demonstrates excellence in sustainable design.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in business development and client management.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and motivate a diverse team.
  • Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite.
