Job summary

Gateley Hamer, the built environment specialist within Gateley, seeks an Associate in London. You will lead on landowner consultations for DCOs and CPOs, draft land-related documentation, and negotiate settlements with landowners.

The role requires MRICS with a strong Planning Act background, and you will work with developers, authorities, and scheme promoters across public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• BSc Hons and MRICS qualification is required.
• Experience negotiating and advising clients on land/power projects.
• Strong understanding of development consent orders and compulsory purchase.

Responsibilities

• Lead on landowner consultations for DCOs and CPOs.
• Draft and oversee land-related documents for DCO preparation and implementation.
• Negotiate with landowners and prepare compensation claims.
• Prepare reports and advice notes on compulsory purchase matters.
• Support client relationships and business development within the built environment team.
