Job summary

Rightmove is seeking an Associate Data Scientist to join its Data, Analytics & AI team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone at an early stage in their career to apply ML/AI to real problems in the UK property market, while building strong foundations in data science.

You’ll work closely with experienced data scientists, machine learning engineers and data engineers, contributing to well-defined pieces of larger projects with close support as you build your skills in a collaborative,

Qualifications

• Strong grasp of core ML concepts, loss functions, and eval metrics.
• Some experience with Python and SQL (academic, projects, or early work).
• Familiar with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Ability to interpret results and communicate clearly to team.

Responsibilities

• Building, training and evaluating ML models under guidance.
• Tuning hyperparameters and interpreting results.
• Writing SQL and Python to query, clean and transform datasets.
• Creating clear visualisations to summarise data and highlight patterns.
• Supporting experiments and deployment readiness of models.
