Job summary

Element Materials Technology in Hull is seeking an Associate Cyber Security Test Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. The role involves testing Cyber Security, Zigbee and Matter protocols, preparing test reports, and interacting with clients to relay results.

You will perform tests under established procedures, log findings, and maintain confidentiality while developing expertise in smart technology. Some travel may be required domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• University degree in computing, programming, IT or equivalent work experience.
• Interest in cyber security, smart energy and emerging technologies.
• Experience with programming languages such as Phyton, JavaScript, Java, C+.
• Familiar with CSA processes would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Initial activities will relate to testing of Cyber Security, Zigbee and Matter protocols.
• To perform testing under procedures - against standards to determine compliance.
• Become familiar with test equipment functions, measurement and calibration techniques.
• Maintain a technical logbook.
• Record results of tests on the prescribed result sheets.
• Prepare test reports as laid down in procedure manual.
• Interact with clients during testing to inform them of test results and request required test information.
• Ensure that commercial confidentiality is maintained.
• Carry out any other reasonable duty as directed by the Department Manager – Smart Technology.
• Occasional business travel may be required both domestic and international.
