Job summary

Pertemps Tm in Exeter is seeking an experienced Associate Civil Engineer to lead delivery and help shape the Civils practice from its growing office. This senior role offers influence over project execution, client management, and strategic direction within the Civils department.

You will guide cross‑disciplinary teams, oversee technical quality, mentor engineers at all levels, and contribute to bids and business growth, with real progression toward Directorship.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in civil engineering projects.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Mentor engineers at various career stages and develop internal talent.
• Contribute to proposals, bids, and business development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex civil engineering projects across multiple sectors
• Oversee detailed design of infrastructure, drainage, and highway schemes
• Manage and develop client relationships, ensuring a high standard of service
• Line-manage and mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering growth and accountability
• Support business development and contribute to proposals and bids
• Work closely with directors to support the strategic growth of the Civils division
