Job summary

DWF is recruiting an Associate to join the Catastrophic Loss team in Leeds. The role involves assisting on high value cases, advising on liability, quantum and litigation strategy, and drafting documents.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years PQE in Large/Complex/Catastrophic Loss, experience with EL/PL or RTA, strong academics and client-relations skills. The role is hybrid with Leeds-based travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years PQE in Large Loss, Complex Loss or Catastrophic Loss claims.
• Experience handling defendant multi-track personal injury cases (EL/PL or RTA).
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, liability, and quantum assessment.
• Exceptional analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Our nationally recognised Catastrophic Loss team at DWF (one of the largest in the UK) are currently recruiting for an Associate to join their team in Leeds.

The team represent a wide range of leading insurers, including many household names, specialising in complex, high value cases. These cases include Road Traffic Accidents (RTAs), Employers’ Liability (EL), and Public Liability (PL) matters, with claim values ranging from £150,000 to £20 million.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team handling some of the most challenging and rewarding cases in the industry with opportunities for progression.

This is a fully assisting role where you would work closely with Partners assisting on large value cases.

The role is hybrid and we can consider candidates in Leeds. We will consider candidate based further afield as long as they have the ability to travel to Leeds fortnightly.

Responsibilities

What will help you succeed in this role?

Essential Requirements;
