Job summary

Clyde & Co recruits a Junior Associate/Associate (NQ to 3 years PQE) to join the Catastrophic Injury / Large Loss team in Manchester. The role focuses on motor claims and high-value personal injury work, supporting senior lawyers on complex matters and developing expertise in liability, quantum and case strategy.

The successful candidate will handle varied caseloads, liaise with clients, experts and counsel, and contribute to the team's growth through knowledge sharing and business development

Qualifications

• Is a qualified solicitor with strong RTA/Motor litigation experience.
• Has experience handling or assisting with complex and higher-value personal injury claims.
• Has a sound understanding of liability, causation and quantum issues arising in motor claims.

Responsibilities

• Assist on significant catastrophic injury and large loss claims.
• Provide clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice to clients.
• Investigate liability and quantum and develop appropriate case strategies.
• Review medical evidence, expert reports, witness evidence and other documentation.
• Draft correspondence, pleadings, instructions to experts and other legal documents.
• Work closely with counsel, experts and other external parties throughout the lifecycle of a claim.
• Support the negotiation and settlement of claims while identifying opportunities for early and effective resolution.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular, clear updates on case progression.
