Associate Building Physics & Sustainability Consultant, Leeds
RSK Group is recruiting for a full-time, permanent Associate Building Physics and Sustainability Consultant to join the Leeds team. This role involves working on thermal modelling, energy strategies, and sustainability assessments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and professionals, promoting new and repeat business.
- Support the promotion of ZED within the marketplace to identify opportunities and develop enquiries.
- Prepare fee proposals, submission, and bid documents for new projects.
- Manage contractual and commercial aspects to ensure work aligns with scope and fees, including claiming additional fees when appropriate.
- Lead thermal modelling, net zero carbon, and energy strategy work across multiple projects.
- Manage project costs to deliver projects within target profit margins.
- Oversee resource management of the team.
- Conduct building physics and parametric modelling, performance optimisation, and operational energy assessments.
- Ensure certification and compliance with Building Regulations Part L, EPC, BREEAM, etc.
- Perform net zero and whole life carbon modelling, sustainability design, and ESG modelling.
- Conduct site surveys and existing building assessments.
- Undertake studies for BREEAM credits, including thermal comfort and low-carbon technologies.
- Prepare Energy & Sustainability Statements for planning submissions, coordinating with design stakeholders.
- Develop interpersonal relationships and promote efficient working practices.
- Ensure quality standards and technical accuracy.
- Report effectively and communicate clearly internally and externally.
- Assist and train engineers, graduates, and new starters.

- Support and encouragement to work towards chartership over time.
