The Very Group is seeking an Associate Automation Engineer to understand processes, identify opportunities for automation and help design scalable solutions across the business.

You'll gain hands-on experience with Blue Prism, develop technical and stakeholder management skills, and contribute to continuous improvements while working in a flexible, hybrid environment.

• Understand and document business processes to identify automation opportunities.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of existing automated processes.

Our Process Automation team plays a critical role in transforming the way we work across The Very Group. By automating repetitive and time-keeping processes, the team helps colleagues focus on higher-value activities while delivering significant efficiency gains across the business. In the last year alone, our automations saved or avoided more than 550,000 hours of manual effort, creating millions of pounds in business value. You'll join a collaborative team of experienced Automation Engineers who combine deep operational knowledge with technical expertise to deliver solutions that have a real and visible business impact.

About the role

As an Associate Automation Engineer, you'll work with stakeholders across the business to understand processes, identify opportunities for improvement and help design and build automation solutions that drive better outcomes. You'll gain hands-on experience with industry-leading automation technology while developing valuable technical, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Understanding and documenting business processes in detail to identify automation opportunities.
• Working with stakeholders to design effective and scalable automation solutions.
• Developing, testing and maintaining automations using Blue Prism.
• Supporting the day-to-day operation of our automation estate, ensuring bots run efficiently and reliably.
• Acting as a key point of contact for automation-related queries, incidents and requests.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement and optimisation of existing automated processes.

About you

We're less focused on prior automation experience and more interested in your potential.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a logical approach to challenges.
• Experience working with business processes, systems or operational workflows.
