The Sir John Colfox Academy is seeking an Associate Assistant Headteacher/SENDCO to lead our dedicated team.

Salary: £53,601 - £59,167 per annum (Leadership Scale L4 to L8)

This is a {Full Time/Part Time/Part Time - Term Time Only} position, offered on a Permanent basis.

Role: Associate Assistant Headteacher – SENDCO L4-8

We are looking for a compassionate, experienced SENDCO to join our Senior Leadership Team at The Sir John Colfox Academy, part of the INITIO Learning Trust.

This role offers the opportunity to lead the strategic development of SEND provision and positively impact students' lives.

About the Role

As SENDCo, you will:

• Lead the school's SEND provision and policy
• Ensure high-quality teaching and inclusive practices
• Manage staff including Deputy SENDCo, HLTAs, and TAs
• Coordinate EHCPs and liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies
• Participate in SLT meetings and contribute to whole-school leadership
• Oversee provision mapping, data tracking, and statutory responsibilities
• Champion inclusion and strategies for disadvantaged students

This position is suitable for an ambitious leader who is a qualified SENDCO or working towards the SENCO award and has a proven record of improving outcomes for students with additional needs.
