This person will undertake various senior-level responsibilities and will join the company towards the top end of the management structure. If interested, we are keen to hear from you.

As an Associate Architect, you will use your extensive experience in the Healthcare sector to lead design initiatives from concept through completion.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams—including clients, consultants, and contractors—to develop unique architectural solutions tailored to healthcare facilities, including hospitals and private medical facilities across the UK. This role requires a strong design awareness and an understanding of the technical delivery within frameworks governing healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities of the Associate Architect include:

  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into innovative design solutions.
  3. Develop comprehensive architectural plans, specifications, and presentation materials for client reviews.
  4. Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  5. Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, contributing to an environment of learning and innovation.
  6. Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in healthcare design to inform ongoing projects.
  7. Lead client presentations.

Qualifications/Experience of the Associate Architect should include:

  • ARB/RIBA Chartership.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in a senior/management role.
  • Proven experience working on Healthcare-sector projects.

This is a unique opportunity to join a busy design team at a senior management level. You will have the chance to lead projects, oversee a design team, and develop new business streams for a reputable studio in Manchester and the wider UK. Hybrid working and flexible hours are available.
