Job summary

Optima Health in Scotland is seeking an Assistive Technology Trainer to empower individuals to maximise independence and wellbeing through assistive tech. You will deliver personalised training to employees, students and service users, helping them develop confidence in a range of assistive technology solutions.

You will train one-to-one and small groups, both remotely and on-site, tailoring delivery to diverse learning styles and abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering training, coaching or learning interventions.
• Ability to tailor training to different learning preferences and abilities.
• Strong report writing and record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one and small group training sessions on assistive technology software and equipment.
• Provide training remotely and face-to-face, adapting delivery methods to meet individual learning styles.
• Support individuals with a wide range of disabilities and neurodivergent conditions, including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, visual impairments, and physical disabilities.
• Produce clear training plans, user guides, and follow-up support documentation.
• Liaise with Workplace Needs Assessors and other professionals to understand individual requirements and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of training delivered and support provided.
• Keep up to date with developments in assistive technology, accessibility, and inclusive practice.
• Promote confidence, independence, and effective adoption of recommended solutions.
