Job summary

Ambitious College, part of Ambitious about Autism, is seeking an Assistive Technologist to shape how assistive technology is used across the College. Based at the West London Campus in Isleworth, you will work with learners, families and the college team to ensure access to technology and communication tools tailored to individual needs.

You will identify and address assistive technology needs, assess and recommend solutions from low-tech to advanced systems, and coach colleagues to use

Qualifications

• Identify learners' assistive technology and communication needs and establish starting points and support plans.
• Assess, recommend and support the use of assistive technologies from low-tech to advanced solutions.
• Help create inclusive, communication-rich learning environments enabling learners to participate independently.
• Collaborate with teaching teams, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals to embed technology in education and support.
• Coach and develop colleagues to use assistive technology effectively in everyday learning environments.
• Provide training and guidance to colleagues and families around augmentative communication, literacy, reading and writing support.

Responsibilities
