Job summary

FM Conway is seeking an organised and proactive Assistant Works Planner to join our Westminster Contract. Based from our Paddington office in London, you will help plan, coordinate and deliver reactive and cyclic works across highways, drainage, and related infrastructure.

You will assign works orders, coordinate multidisciplinary responses, monitor KPIs and ensure compliance with the London permitting scheme.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills.
• Experience in construction industry would be advantageous.
• Good computer literacy, understanding of highway traffic management and knowledge of the highway permitting scheme.

Responsibilities

• Assigning works orders to the appropriate teams across highways, drainage, lighting and structures.
• Coordinating multidisciplinary responses to ensure works are planned and delivered effectively.
• Working closely with the permitting team to ensure all start and stop notices are compliant.
• Assisting with the planning of reactive and cyclic works within contractual timelines.
• Supporting the establishment and maintenance of robust administrative procedures.
• Assisting with the collection and monitoring of contract KPIs relating to planning and delivery.
• Monitoring gang performance and outputs against planned works.
• Keeping up to date with the London permitting scheme and relevant requirements.
• Identifying and highlighting trends in works orders and gang delivery.
• Developing an understanding of local authority systems, including Confirm and Symology

FM Conway is looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Works Planner to join our Term Maintenance business unit, supporting our Westminster Contract. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within highways maintenance while gaining valuable experience in the planning, coordination and delivery of reactive and cyclic works across Westminster. This is a permanent, full-time position based from our office in Paddington, London.

As our Assistant Works Planner, your responsibilities will include:

• Assigning works orders to the appropriate teams across highways, drainage, lighting and structures
• Coordinating multidisciplinary responses to ensure works are planned and delivered effectively

What we're looking for

We're looking for an organised and collaborative individual who is keen to develop their career within highways maintenance and works planning. You'll have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, strong organisational skills. Previous experience of working in the construction industry would be advantageous, along with good computer literacy, an understanding of highway traffic management and knowledge of the highway permitting scheme.
