FM Conway is recruiting a Planning Manager to join our TfL HMPF contract in London. You will lead the effective planning and programming of reactive, planned and non-core highway works, ensuring programmes are achievable and resources are used efficiently.

Working closely with TfL, operational teams and divisions, you will minimise disruption to road users, maintain a safe and functional highway network, and ensure contractual performance requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in operational planning, works programming or resource coordination.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a reactive environment.
• Strong stakeholder-management, written and verbal communication.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong IT skills, including confidence using spreadsheets and planning information.
• Ability to produce accurate programmes, reports and forecasts.
• Collaborative approach and commitment to safe, efficient service delivery.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term programmes for reactive and core works.
• Prioritise planned and reactive works against timescales and road space.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, traffic management and other delivery needs.
• Ensure programmes meet contract requirements and KPI targets.
• Monitor progress, risks and dependencies; escalate issues and plan recovery actions.
• Lead planning discussions with TfL and internal teams to align priorities.
• Maintain accurate planning information and produce reports and forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and efficiency.

FM Conway is recruiting a Planning Manager to join our Transport for London HMPF contract. You will lead the effective planning and programming of reactive, planned and non-core highway works, ensuring that programmes are achievable, resources are used efficiently and contractual performance requirements are met. Working closely with TfL, operational teams and specialist divisions, you will help maintain a safe and functional highway network while minimising disruption to road users and communities across London.

As our Planning Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term programmes for reactive core works, TfL minor highway works and core service activities.
• Prioritise planned and reactive works against contractual timescales, operational needs and available road space.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials, traffic management and other delivery requirements to support efficient programme execution.
• Ensure programmes comply with contract requirements and contribute to successful KPI performance.
• Monitor programme progress, risks, dependencies and constraints, escalating issues and agreeing recovery actions where required.
• Lead planning and coordination discussions with TfL and internal operational teams to understand client priorities and maximise work instructions.
• Maintain accurate planning information and produce clear reports, forecasts and performance updates.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, resource use and delivery efficiency.
