Job summary
Babcock is seeking an Assistant QAQC Engineer to support robust quality assurance and quality control across a complex engineering environment at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will work with welding and quality professionals to uphold standards, processes and compliance for national defence programmes.
The role offers development in quality engineering, welding assurance and continuous improvement, with exposure to regulated activities and opportunities to contribute to projects affecting
Qualifications
- Experience with quality management systems and controlled documentation.
- Understanding of QA/QC and compliance in an engineering environment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical docs.
- Experience analysing information and identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation and maintenance of quality management procedures and documentation.
- Assist with surveillance, compliance reviews and quality audits across operations.
- Monitor corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely close-out.
- Review quality records and inspection data to ensure compliance.
- Analyse quality performance data to drive continuous improvement.
