Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is looking for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to support daily warehouse operations, lead the team, plan workloads and ensure accurate picking, packing and dispatch. The role combines hands-on leadership with close collaboration with the Warehouse Manager to optimise processes and stock control.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse supervisory, team leader or management experience.
• Experience leading and motivating a warehouse team.
• Strong organisational and workload planning skills.
• Confident communication skills.
• Good IT skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, hands-on approach.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and quality standards.
• Counterbalance forklift licence desirable.
• Flexi forklift licence desirable.
• Experience within packaging, manufacturing, distribution or logistics.
• Experience working within a quality-controlled or regulated warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager with daily running of the warehouse.
• Lead, motivate and support the warehouse team.
• Plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
• Oversee the accurate receipt, storage, picking and dispatch of stock.
• Maintain stock accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
• Ensure housekeeping, organisation and health & safety standards.
• Work closely with other departments for smooth operations.
• Support quality and compliance procedures.
• Maintain stock records and product traceability.
• Assist with audits and provide cover for the Warehouse Manager when required.
