Assistant VAT Manager - Advisory Focused - Derby

Location: Derby

This national VAT team is looking for a commercial and technically strong VAT Assistant Manager to join their Derby team. Despite many of their competitors shrinking their VAT teams in 2024, this team has actually grown and requires an individual who wants to move more into client advisory.

As the VAT Assistant Manager, you will work in an advisory capacity to a diverse portfolio of clients, including owner-managed businesses, international clients, charities, and property sectors. You will work closely with the Manager and Senior Manager, advising your portfolio on a wide range of VAT issues.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced VAT Assistant Manager looking for a role that offers more autonomy and freedom but still has the support of a wider team, or for a VAT Tax Senior looking to take the next step. The ideal candidate will be ambitious and want to climb through the ranks.
