Assistant Underwriter – Property Treaty

A top-performing, globally respected reinsurer is looking to hire a motivated and ambitious Assistant Underwriter to join its high-performing Property Treaty & Retro team.

Location: City of London

Salary: £65,000–£75,000

Overview

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contributing to the full underwriting lifecycle of the Property Treaty portfolio
2. Working directly with the Head of Property Treaty and the wider team
3. Building and nurturing broker and client relationships
4. Reviewing contract wordings for compliance and maintaining clear underwriting documentation
5. Gaining exposure to additional classes within the wider portfolio over time

What We’re Looking For:

1. A self-starter with a genuine appetite to learn and develop
2. 3–5 years of relevant experience in Property Treaty
3. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity
4. A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a close-knit team
