Job summary

AEGIS London is seeking an Assistant Underwriter to support and grow the portfolio within the Portfolio Solutions team. The role covers underwriting delegated authority and treaty business, with responsibilities spanning administration, data queries and MI delivery.

You will work with internal teams to maintain relationships with brokers and clients, contribute to risk and performance analysis, and travel as needed in the normal course of business.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lloyd's/London Market preferred and delegated authority knowledge.
• Proven ability to review submissions, renewals and new business promptly.
• Exposure to bordereaux management and portfolio monitoring is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite delegated authority and treaty business in line with guidelines and targets.
• Process submissions, renewals, endorsements and new business opportunities accurately.
• Monitor delegated authority, binding authorities and quota share arrangements.
• Liaise with internal teams (Exposure Management, Credit Control, Actuarial, Compliance, Operations) on key processes.
• Support premium/exposure monitoring, bordereaux and data queries.
• Contribute to management information, business planning and ad hoc analysis.
• Travel as required and provide high-quality service to brokers and clients.
