Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd in Port Talbot is seeking an Assistant or Deputy Temporary Works Coordinator to support a complex project valued at over £200m. You will oversee temporary works design coordination, compliance, programming, and assurance, acting as the liaison between designers and site teams.

You will assist in design brief reviews, manage checks and permits, and help supervise erection and dismantling of temporary works while contributing to inspections and changes.

Qualifications

• Experience with temporary works on large infrastructure projects.
• CITB Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) certification or equivalent and CSCS card.
• Degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing design briefs to ensure alignment with site requirements.
• Help manage design checks, approvals, and the issuing of permits to load/dismantle.
• Support the supervision of erection, use, maintenance, and dismantling of temporary works.
• Contribute to inspections, audits, and change control processes.
• Assist in reviewing contractor or in-house designs and liaising with production and subcontractor teams.
