Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine in Port Talbot is seeking an Assistant or Deputy Temporary Works Coordinator to oversee all aspects of temporary works on a high-value construction project. You will liaise between temporary works designers and site teams to ensure safe, compliant implementation.

Role requires a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and a valid TWC CITB Certification (or equivalent) with CSCS. You will contribute to inspections, design checks, and permit issuance while supporting large-scale

Qualifications

• TWC CITB Certification (or equivalent) and CSCS card required.
• Degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in temporary works on large infrastructure/construction projects.
• Strong organisational and communication skills; eager to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate temporary works activities and maintain the Temporary Works Register.
• Prepare and review design briefs to align with site requirements.
• Manage design checks, approvals, and issue permits to load/dismantle.
• Supervise erection, use, maintenance, and dismantling of temporary works.
• Contribute to inspections, audits, and change control processes.
• Liaise with production and subcontractor teams to review designs.
