Summary of the role
Working as part of the Biological Services Team in Technical Services, the role holder will be the essential Support technician in the busy service/warehouse area supporting the animal facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the University of Exeter, with new facilities and a growing team. The role-holder will be expected to perform cage washing, warehouse support, deliveries, sterilisation tasks, and administrative support. The Biological Services team supports world-class teaching and research within a culture of care for animals.
Organisational context:
The Research Services Division is a key enabler for delivering the University’s Strategy 2030, the Research and Impact Strategy, successful REF performances, and research income targets.
This role is within the Technical Services section of the Division. We are research and teaching technical staff across the University, working in specialist areas including labs, studios, workshops, and fieldwork, supporting research and teaching, and promoting compliance and best practices.
The service comprises talented individuals supporting teaching and research, and training the next generation of scientists. Our technical roles include experimental officers, laboratory technicians, and research technicians, focusing on various science and humanities disciplines.
