Job Description:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, part-time position with a 4-week rota for Out of Hours (OOH) shifts. Please note that the salary is pro-rata for part-time hours.

The successful candidate will support the Team Leaders in managing the GP Out of Hours Service, assisting with appointment bookings during busy periods, and providing guidance to support staff. Responsibilities include overseeing daily appointment diaries, ensuring calls from NHS 24 are processed correctly, and escalating issues as per escalation plans. The role may require covering shifts in the absence of a Team Leader.

Applicants should have good computer skills, excellent communication abilities, and proficient IT knowledge. A driving license is preferred.
