The role: This newly created Assistant Group Tax Manager position is the first hire into the tax team, reporting directly to the Head of Tax. It’s a varied, hands-on role split evenly across Corporate Tax, VAT, and Transfer Pricing. You'll play a key part in developing tax processes, managing compliance and reporting, and helping to transition tax functions from external providers in-house. With exposure to high-profile projects including CBCR, Pillar 2, and TP documentation, it’s an exciting time to join and build your career in a dynamic, commercial environment.

Skills/Experience Required:

• Qualified accountant or tax professional (ACA/ACCA/CTA or equivalent)
• Experience in at least two of: Corporate Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing
• Strong compliance and reporting background
• Ideally some in-house experience, or trained in a Top 6–20 firm
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with tax systems (OneSource/Sage a plus)
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Ambitious, proactive, and eager to take ownership

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage UK tax compliance across 10 UK entities (including complex structures)
• Support transition of tax preparation work from external firms in-house
• Develop and maintain tax processes and controls
• Assist with tax accounting and manage relationship with future external provider
• Support TP documentation, master files, and CBCR reporting
• Get involved in projects including Pillar 2 and Corporate Interest Restriction
• Collaborate closely with the wider finance team on tax matters
