The Role:

This position requires combining technical tax expertise with business acumen to manage the group's VAT position effectively and efficiently.

The Location:

This role is based in London, Victoria, with a requirement to work in the office 3 days a week.

The Team:

You will be part of a tax team, reporting to the Head of Tax, alongside three other tax professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
• Ensuring timely payment of VAT liabilities.
• Gathering relevant information from accounting, finance, and commercial teams to prepare VAT returns.
• Reviewing internal VAT risk controls, record keeping, and processes.
• Implementing VAT structure simplifications and supporting the testing and deployment of VAT automation software.
• Providing VAT-related advice on property transactions to the business.
• Setting up new VAT registrations and de-registrations for entities as needed.
• Preparing and submitting corporate and partnership tax returns for group entities.
• Supporting general tax compliance and advisory projects.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

• Experience with VAT group registrations.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills and task-oriented determination.
• Experience with D365 is desirable.
