Job description

HFG has partnered with an award winning Lloyd's managing agent, in their search for an Assistant Syndicate Accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in syndicate accounting, reporting in to the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for accounting for the Syndicate

Prepare and review journals

Review Syndicate bank reconciliations

Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

Assist with month-end close

Support preparation of statutory financial statements

Assist with Quarterly and Annual Lloyd's returns

Liaise with external auditors

Requirements:

• Part-qualified or currently studying/willing to study for accounting exams

Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

Insurance accounting experience preferred
