Job description

Our client, an established entity in the technology sector, is seeking a qualified Systems Accountant for a contract position, the office is based in Richmond or can be fully remote. This vital role supports a key finance transformation project, involving system migration work and ensuring data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the migration of financial data from a legacy system into NetSuite
• Reconcile opening balances and investigate discrepancies
• Clean, validate, and restructure historical financial data
• Map and align chart of accounts between old and new systems
• Collaborate with finance, IT, and project teams to ensure a smooth transition
• Provide post-migration support, including reconciliations and integrity checks
• Assist in process improvements and documentation during the transformation

Job Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
• Proven experience in system migrations, particularly finance systems
• Proficiency with NetSuite is essential
• Knowledge of Opera accounting software is a strong bonus
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data cleansing)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
