Job summary

Staffordshire Police is seeking an energetic Assistant Surveyor (Minor Works) to join the Estates Team. You will design and deliver minor works projects, prepare technical drawings and specifications, and oversee projects from conception through to handover while coordinating with contractors.

The role requires a Level 6 qualification in Building Surveying or equivalent, membership or progress toward CIOB/RICS/CIBSE, and a recognised health and safety credential.

Qualifications

• A relevant technical qualification such as Level 6 BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent.
• Membership of or working towards membership of a recognised professional body (CIOB, RICS, or CIBSE).
• A recognised Health and Safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH General/Construction).
• A recognised project management qualification (PRINCE2 or APM PMQ).

Responsibilities

• Deliver minor works projects using traditional and Design & Build routes.
• Produce technical drawings/concepts and technical specifications.
• Oversee minor works from conception to handover and liaise with Design & Build contractors.
