Job summary

Staffordshire Police is seeking an Assistant Surveyor (Minor Works) to support the Estates Team in delivering the Estates Strategy and minor construction projects. You will design, develop feasibility studies, produce technical drawings and specifications, and supervise minor works from concept through to handover while coordinating with Design & Build contractors.

The role requires delivering multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with up-to-date technical knowledge and strong

Qualifications

• Essential technical qualification in building surveying or equivalent.
• Professional body membership or progression toward it.
• Health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH.
• Project management qualification like PRINCE2/PMQ.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver minor works projects across traditional and Design & Build routes.
• Create technical drawings, specifications and feasibility studies.
• Oversee minor works from conception to handover and liaise with contractors.

Education

BSc in Building Surveying

Membership of CIOB/RICS/CIBSE

NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate

PRINCE2 or PMQ
