Job summary

Emma – The Sleep Company is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Manchester Arndale store to drive sales, coach Sleep Experts and maintain outstanding customer experiences. You will partner with the Store Manager to deliver strong operational standards and visual merchandising excellence.

You should have prior experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor in retail, a proactive sales mindset, and fluency in English.

• Experience as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor in a retail environment.
• Strong sales skills with a proactive, customer-oriented approach.
• Ability to interpret commercial KPIs and translate them into actions.
• Continuous pursuit of improvements in sales processes or visual merchandising.

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support our store at Manchester Arndale, working closely with the Store Manager to be the main driver of sales, motivate our Sleep Experts, deliver an exceptional customer experience, maintain strong operational and visual merchandising standards, and confidently take ownership of the store when required.

What you will do:

• Motivate and manage the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets
• Understand customer preferences and make product recommendations, ensuring a high-Quality experience
• Oversee administrative tasks, stock management, and shift coordination
• Execute visual merchandising guidelines to the highest standards
• Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the Store Manager

What are we looking for:
