Job summary

Farmfoods is seeking a proactive Assistant Store Manager for our Northampton shop. The role is full-time, 43 hours over 5 days with regular weekend shifts.

You will work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient store, support coaching and development for a small team, and help manage costs while delivering excellent customer service. In addition to salary, you will enjoy benefits including 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, life assurance and a workplace pension.

Qualifications

• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
• Willingness to be fully flexible including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers.
• Be responsible for the development of your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback.
• Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager and ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Take responsibility for motivating and guiding your team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members.
