Job summary

JD Sports is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performing store team and deliver the premium JD experience. You will work with the Store Manager to drive results, coach colleagues, and uphold brand standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will inspire others, manage day-to-day operations, interpret KPIs, and ensure exceptional customer service while meeting sales targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail management or supervisory role.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate staff.
• Experience interpreting KPI and sales data for decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven success driving sales and KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager with daily store operations to hit sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide shop floor colleagues, assign tasks, support service delivery, and maintain JD standards throughout the day.
• Coach and develop staff with real-time feedback and reinforce expectations set by the Store Manager.
• Maintain JD’s high presentation and operational standards, including availability, pricing accuracy, tidy displays, and a safe environment.
• Carry out core operational duties such as cash handling, till checks, delivery processing, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
