Dr. Martens in the United Kingdom is seeking an engaging Assistant Store Manager to lead our Nottingham team. You will partner with the Store Manager to deliver outstanding service, drive sales, and uphold the brand’s cultural values.

You will coach and develop colleagues, manage daily operations, health & safety, and stock processes, while collaborating with regional and head office teams to meet business goals. The role offers growth opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations including coaching, sales analysis, visual merchandising and admin.
• Act as store lead in absence of Store Manager.
• Manage health & safety and security within the store.
• Hit KPI targets (Sales/CR/UPT) per store P&L.
• Coach staff to deliver exceptional customer experience and product knowledge.
• Oversee stock takes, deliveries, and loss prevention procedures.
• Collaborate with Store Manager, Regional Manager and head office on commercial decisions.

SO WHATS THE STORY - Assistant Store Manager - Nottingham

We are looking for an engaging, inspirational Assistant Store Manager to help lead the diverse team at our Nottingham store.

Our Assistant Store Manager will work in hand in hand with our Store Manager creating a strong partnership to provide leadership and direction, guiding their team to provide an outstanding service offer that supports the delivery and growth of Dr. Martens. While also focusing on your own development, you will be a driving force in cultivating a great working environment within your store always ensuring your teams well-being is at the heart of your decision making.

THE GIG - Assistant Store Manager - Nottingham

• Take responsibility of day-to-day retail operations to company expectations (Coaching, sales analysis, visual merchandising and administration)
• Assume complete responsibility of the store & team in absence of the Store Manager
• Take responsibility for health & safety and security issues within the store
• Achieve set KPI’s (i.e. Sales/CR/UPT) in line with the store P&L budget
• Leading and implementing high standards of customer experience and product knowledge within the team through a coaching approach to create a seamless and consistent customer experience.
• Ensuring appropriate stock management procedures are followed including stock take, process deliveries, loss prevention actions etc.
• Work closely with your Store Manager, Regional Manager and Head Office functions to take commercial decisions for your store in line with our business objectives.

To be our Assistant Store Manager you should have/or be;

• Similar experience in an Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor role, ideally within a fashion/lifestyle brand, for a few years.
• Confident in coaching, developing and mentoring teams.
• Sales oriented and able to drive others to achieve store goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates resilience, together with a solution driven mindset.
• Fluency in English at a business level. Additional languages would be a benefit.
• Good IT skills – confident to use Microsoft Office and POS systems.
