Role: Assistant Store Manager

Job type: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours)

Role Overview

Putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, you will support the Store Manager in managing your store to maximize profitability through the retail plan; driving sales, managing costs, and delivering our brand through visual merchandising. You will create a fun and inspiring atmosphere aligned with our brand and culture, support team development, and ensure high standards according to company guidelines.

Role Responsibilities

1. Leading by example and demonstrating exceptional standards of behavior to maintain the integrity of the brand.
2. Driving and role modeling customer service standards to exceed expectations.
3. Training, coaching, and developing your team, supporting appraisals and performance reviews.
4. Analyzing financial data, retail and company strategy, and using local knowledge to maximize sales and support decision-making.
5. Ensuring the store operates within budget through scheduling, cost controls, and productivity management.
6. Planning and organizing to implement the retail plan effectively.
7. Liaising with Head Office to optimize stock management.
8. Adhering to procedures related to cash, stock, health and safety, security, and loss prevention.
9. Overseeing visual merchandising and leading store launches and floor moves.
10. Complying with policies, legal obligations, and GDPR confidentiality requirements.
11. Assuming responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence to ensure ongoing success.
12. Delivering excellent customer service focused on needs and satisfaction.
13. Aligning with the company's social and environmental missions and championing impactful actions.
14. Offering alternative shopping options across channels.
15. Ensuring crew are trained and aware of multichannel offerings.
16. Promoting the FatFace vision and values to keep the customer central to decision-making.
17. Providing learning, development, and coaching to foster high-performing teams.
18. Using local insights and creativity to maximize market-specific sales opportunities.
19. Managing store budgets through scheduling, cost control, and productivity.
