Job summary

ARC Group seeks an Assistant Site Manager for a large 125-unit residential development near Clacton-on-Sea. You will work with the Site Manager to coordinate day-to-day site operations, subcontractors, and safety on a high-end timber-frame scheme.

This long-term role offers progression over approximately three years, with a focus on achieving exceptional finishing and quality, while maintaining schedule and safety standards on a prestigious project.

Qualifications

• Minimum proven experience as Assistant Site Manager or supervisor in residential construction.
• Timber frame experience is essential.
• Strong finishing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily management of site operations and subcontractor coordination
• Ensure high-quality workmanship with a focus on finishing and snagging
• Support the build programme, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met
• Maintain a safe site environment in line with company and legal standards
• Monitor progress and report issues or delays to the senior management team
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain efficient workflow
• Contribute to inspections, quality control, and handover processes
