Job summary

Fawkes & Reece are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a large residential development in Preston. You will work with the Site Manager to deliver a 250-unit timber frame housing project, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Applicants should have a proven track record in residential new builds, timber frame experience, and strong organisational and communication skills to coordinate subcontractors and trades on a fast-paced site.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Site Manager in residential new build housing.
• Experience on timber frame developments.
• Strong understanding of residential construction and build sequencing.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced site environment.
• Proactive with strong attention to detail.
• Confidence to manage subcontractors and site trades.
• Strong health & safety and quality knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development.
• Coordinating subcontractors and site trades.
• Monitoring progress against programme and build targets.
• Ensuring plots progress efficiently through each stage of construction.
• Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring works meet required standards.
• Maintaining high standards of health & safety across the site.
• Identifying and addressing issues that could impact programme or quality.
• Ensuring subcontractors are working safely, efficiently and to agreed programmes.
• Maintaining site presentation and housekeeping.
• Assisting with site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Liaising with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and wider project team.
• Ensuring works are completed in accordance with company procedures and NHBC standards.
