Job summary

Bellway Homes is recruiting an Assistant Site Manager for our Scotland East division. You will support the Site Manager in running a busy residential development, ensuring safe, efficient and cost-effective works while delivering high quality and customer service within timescales.

You will lead site staff, uphold health and safety standards, and liaise with sales to ensure smooth turnover to homeowners. A CSCS Site Manager card, SMSTS, First Aid and construction management qualifications are

Qualifications

• Experience as an Assistant Site Manager with a high-volume residential builder.
• Experience in effectively managing teams.
• Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety, building legislation and NHBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Manager with day-to-day running of the development and provide direction to site staff.
• Assist with health and safety procedures with Bellway Health and Safety Managers.
• Motivate, support and manage site staff; provide toolbox talks and training.
• Ensure site presentation is maintained to the required standard.
• Deliver production requirements per technical and planning documentation.
• Conform to building regulations and NHBC/LABC requirements.
• Assist in producing accurate production/progress returns for management.
• Assist in quality control inspections and rectify defects to avoid delays.
• Monitor and control production costs and approve contractor payments.
• Maintain site records (reports, labour, materials, inductions, safety records).
• Prepare for NHBC key stage inspections ahead of time.
• Work with sales teams to ensure smooth customer handover.
• Conduct New Home demonstration tours for customers.
• Deliver excellent customer service per company guidelines.
• May deputise for the Site Manager when needed.
