Churchill Retirement Living is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for the South East region, based at Paddock Wood, Kent. You will assist in supervising all aspects of the construction cycle, ensuring deadlines, safety and quality in line with company and NHBC standards.

The role requires strong coordination of trades, materials and site logistics. Hours are 7.30am–5.00pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional call-outs.

Qualifications

• You will have relevant site experience building residential apartments and new homes.
• You will be a qualified First Aider at Work.
• You will hold a CSCS Card and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably NHBC Site Manager Accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the building site in line with drawings, instructions and NHBC/Company standards.
• Support the Site Manager to meet deadlines and ensure safety, quality and cost control.
• Coordinate trades and materials and maintain site presentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to achieve critical objectives.
• Respond to site needs during the development and manage call-outs occasionally.

We're looking for an Assistant Site Manager for our South East region to help oversee our development in Paddock Wood, Kent. Using specified drawings and instructions, you'll support the Site Manager with the entire construction cycle to ensure all deadlines are met and the development is built to Company and NHBC standards. Based on site and reporting to the Site Manager, you'll assist in managing all aspects of the building site, including health and safety issues, trades and material co‑ordination, site presentation and cost control. You'll play a key role in ensuring the continued success of Churchill Retirement Living's desirable developments. Hours of work are between 7.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. The Assistant Site Manager is subject to call‑out in the absence of the Site Manager, however this is infrequent. Also, once the development is completed, you will be moved to another site within the region.

About you

You will have relevant previous site experience gained building Residential Apartments and New Homes. You will also be a qualified First Aider at Work and may have progressed from a trade background.

You will hold a CSCS Card and be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Site Management, preferably on the NHBC Site Manager Accreditation programme. You'll be assertive and calm under pressure to meet numerous construction deadlines, whilst liaising with a wide range of external suppliers, specialists and in-house teams to achieve critical objectives, without compromising quality standards in any way.

To achieve maximum co‑operation, the ability to influence is key. You will also hold a valid UK drivers Licence in the event another site requires assistance.
