Job summary

Avocet recruitment ltd is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for the Exeter region, based in Yeovil (BA21). You will work alongside the Site Manager, gaining hands-on experience across all build stages with top training to progress.

Roles include coordinating labour, subcontractors and deliveries, and liaising with sales and customer care teams. The position requires prior experience on a new build residential site, SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certifications, and a strong health and safety mindset.

Qualifications

• SMSTS/SSSTS and First Aid certified.
• Experience on a new build residential construction site.
• Solid grasp of site Health & Safety.
• Confidence reading and interpreting designs and drawings.
• Sharp attention to detail and a genuine desire to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Supporting (and deputising for) the Site Manager, supervising employed and subcontract labour.
• Coordinating subcontractors and deliveries to keep the build on programme and on quality.
• Scheduling work to hit production targets without cutting corners.
• Getting involved in pre-completion inspections with purchasers.
• Being a reliable link between the build, sales, and customer care teams.
